In the days that followed, fans of SAFC had plenty to be proud about as multiple players from the club achieved various honors.
Rafa Castillo was named to the USL Team of the Week in part because of the massive goal he scored from well outside the box.
Rafa and Jason Johnson both made the USL Goals of the Week clip:
Finally, midfielder Seba Thuriere was named to Haiti’s 40-man preliminary roster for the upcoming Copa America.
All-in-all a great first showing in a streak that will see San Antonio play at home for 4 of 5 matches and a U.S. Open Cup match. The next bout will be against the club’s closest geographic rivals Rio Grande Valley FC Toros this Saturday, May 7th.
